All Star Baseball 2002

The player models are so much cleaner than what I remember from the N64, that polygon boost really shows in the batting stance and fielding animations. I’ve sunk a whole weekend into this and the hitting still feels just as fun, even if the presentation is a step behind other PS2 sports games.

The sheer polygon count in this PS2 version makes the stadiums look shockingly realistic compared to older baseball games. Batting feels responsive, and even the outfield grass has noticeable texture that adds to the immersion.

I’m really impressed by how many player animations they packed in—it makes every swing and catch feel much more fluid than the N64 version. The huge polygon count really shows, especially during close plays at the bases. This one finally feels like a true baseball sim on PS2.
