The atmosphere is incredibly immersive for such an old game, the feudal Japan setting really comes through in the pixel art. Took me a few tries to get used to the random battles but now it feels like part of the adventure.

The random battle sequences keep each playthrough feeling fresh, and the attention to period detail really pulls you into feudal Japan. I've spent hours just exploring the world and enjoying the atmosphere.

The feudal Japan atmosphere is so immersive, right down to the detailed backgrounds of old temples and villages. I've lost count of how many times a random battle surprised me while wandering between story scenes.
