Dragon Quest VI (Cart Only)

The cart arrived in solid shape, and the sprite work in the opening town is packed with detail that still holds up on a modern TV. I've sunk hours into the class system alone, and the way the music shifts with the story's tone is exactly what I hoped for.

The orchestral score in this cart is incredible for the era, especially the dungeon themes that build tension perfectly. I've played through the opening hours three times already just for the music.

I popped this into my Super Famicom and was immediately struck by how clear the cartridge contacts are—no jiggling or freezing like some used carts I've bought. The pixel art and soundtrack sound fantastic without any glitches.
