Final Fantasy IV

I was a little skeptical of the sprite graphics at first, but the way they make the story feel so personal is incredible. The emotional weight of the narrative really shines through those innocent pixels.

The story had me tearing up despite the simple graphics, and the pacing keeps you hooked from the opening scene to the final credits. I've played through it multiple times and it still hits just as hard.

The sprite work really sells the emotional weight of the story—something modern graphics often miss. Despite being called Final Fantasy II initially, it’s aged beautifully and still pulls you in.
