Final Fantasy XII

The gambit system honestly makes the 3D combat feel fresh and strategic, letting you program party behavior mid-battle. Those cutscenes are stunning too—you can tell the production team poured insane man-hours into every scene.

Battling through the third act with the active-time gauge felt like I was actually in the fight, not just watching numbers fly—the 3D combat keeps you on your toes. The sheer detail in every scene shows where the hours went, and I couldn't put the controller down for a week straight.

The cinematic cutscenes are absolutely gorgeous, and the strategic combat really pulls you into the action. After about 40 hours, I'm still finding new side quests to explore.
