Harvest Moon GB2

I've been playing this for a few afternoons now and the farming loop is surprisingly addictive—planting seeds and watching the crops grow feels really satisfying. The moles are a fun little distraction during the slower moments, though they pop up a bit too often for my taste.

The mole-bashing mini-game is surprisingly addictive and fits perfectly with the farming theme. The graphics hold up well on the GameBoy Color screen, bringing the countryside to life. I've been playing for hours and the battery still has plenty of juice left.

Bought this to scratch a retro itch and the whack-a-mole mini-games are way more addictive than I expected—I kept going back just to bash one more mole between harvests. The cart loads instantly on my old GameBoy Color, no flicker or lag, which is more than I can say for some of my other games.
