ميتال جاكت

Picked this up for the nostalgia and it scratches that old-school mecha shooter itch perfectly. The crosshair surveying the landscape gives it a unique strategic feel. Controls are a bit clunky by modern standards, but the gameplay holds up well. Really captures that early 3D era vibe.

The crosshair sweeping over that desolate landscape is pure calm until the mechs roll in, then it’s chaos in the best way. Big Iron Soldier vibes if you grew up on that era, and the pace keeps you on edge.

The targeting reticle feels smooth and responsive, which makes lining up shots on the mechs satisfying. It reminds me of the old 32X days but with better stage design.
