The girl in the passing car actually looks back at you — that little detail sold me. Handling felt tight through the tunnels even at top speed, and the music kept my heart racing between corners.

That rear-view mirror moment is such a nice touch—you actually see the race girl shrinking behind you as you pull away. The baton-passing from the original feels seamless, and the sense of speed is still electric.

The way it just zooms past the race girl and the other cars, letting you catch a glimpse of them in the rear view mirror, is exactly the arcade-style thrill I was hoping for. It really captures the feel of the older Ridge Racer games.
