The Pro Baseball Super 94

The Japanese team rosters add a fun layer of strategy, and the CD audio really pumps you up during those big home run moments. A solid pickup for any PC Engine fan.

I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth the gameplay is for a CD-ROM title, and the real Japanese team names add a nice authentic touch. The home run frequency feels just right, not too easy or too hard.

The CD audio during home run replays is crisp and adds to the atmosphere—much better than the cart version. Swinging for the fences really feels satisfying with the solid slugger physics. Only wish there were a few more stadiums to choose from.
