That radar ping alone sold me — it makes every sweep of the sonar feel like a gamble, and the deep-sea setting is so rarely done this well. The pacing between tense silence and sudden firefights keeps the whole thing gripping, even if you're just dabbling in the campaign.

That tense, submerged atmosphere is unlike anything else on the PS2—the sonar pings actually make you feel hunted in the dark. I’ve replayed the first stage three times just to soak in the eerie silence before the torpedoes start flying.

The radar ping mechanic is such a clever touch, it really sells the tension of navigating dangerous waters. The deep-sea setting feels fresh and unique for a shooter, and I love how it balances action with that eerie, atmospheric exploration.
