Adventure Island II (New)

The skateboarding levels are the highlight for me—the controls feel tight and fair even when you're mid-air. Sprite work is simple but charming, and the strawberry-hunting adds just enough replay value. Played through twice already.

Finally got this after hunting for a copy, and the skateboarding mechanic is way more fun than I expected. The springs and strawberries add just enough quirky challenge. It's pure nostalgia that actually holds up.

The colorful backgrounds on this cartridge really pop on my old Game Boy screen, and the simple character sprites add to that nostalgic feel. I've been stuck on the strawberry level for a while but the play mechanics are smooth enough to keep me hooked.
