Dream Eye (Neu)

The 640x480 resolution is surprisingly sharp for a late-90s accessory, and the lens cap is a nice touch. It works perfectly with my Japanese Dreamcast, though it does make me wish Sega had pushed it further.

It's a bittersweet little gadget, but the three megapixel lens is genuinely sharp for something from that era, and the plastic casing feels solid enough for a collector's shelf. I plugged it in just to see the sensor glow, and that alone made me smile before the inevitable sigh.

The three megapixel sensor is surprisingly decent for a relic of the early webcam era, and the hardware itself feels solidly built for a collector's piece. It does make you sigh thinking about what could've been, but that's part of its charm.
