The frame rate stays rock-solid even when the screen fills with explosions, which matters for a shooter this frantic. I’ve played through it twice already and the on-rails pacing keeps you on edge without ever feeling unfair. Just don’t play it on a full stomach, that motion gets real.

The ship skimming over alien surfaces creates such a dizzying sense of speed that I actually felt a little queasy at first, but once I got used to it the visuals are stunning for the Mega CD. The on-rails action keeps you constantly dodging and shooting without any downtime.

The on-rails shooting is relentless and keeps me on edge for every session, and the 360-degree scrolling backdrop really sells the sense of speed. I was amazed how smooth the frame rate stays even with all those enemies firing at once. Definitely worth the pickup for any shooter fan.
