Darius Cozmic Revelation (Neuf)

The 3D shift actually works here—those silver ships popping out of the screen add a real sense of depth you just don't get in flat shooters. It took me a few runs to adjust, but once the muscle memory kicked in, the boss fights felt massive.

I was skeptical about a 2D shooter going 3D, but the polygonal ships and enemies actually make the chaos easier to follow. The classic Darius weapon upgrades feel just as satisfying here, and the soundtrack is pure Taito magic.

The level of detail in the 3D backgrounds really makes each stage feel alive, and the new Burst mechanics add a great layer of strategy. I've been playing through G Darius again, and the visual overhaul is stunning without ruining the classic feel. Definitely scratches that arcade shooter itch.
