The 2D art is so lush and colorful that I often just pause to admire the backgrounds, and the real-time battle system keeps every fight feeling fresh and intense. I've already sunk a dozen hours into it without even noticing.

I'm usually a turn-based purist, but this game's real-time combat clicked instantly—the way the 2D animations flow mid-swing is just gorgeous. The hand-drawn detail on every enemy sprite is painstaking, and it's the first PSP game in ages that actually made me lose track of time.

The real-time battle system is such a breath of fresh air after endless turn-based grindfests, and every swing feels properly weighty. I keep getting distracted by the hand-painted backgrounds and how smoothly the characters animate through the fights. My only problem now is finding time to stop pla
