Viewtiful Katamari Damashii

The pick-up-and-play controls are perfect for short sessions, and the off-the-wall humor kept me grinning the whole time. I was surprised how addictive the simple "roll everything up" mechanic is, even for a jaded gamer like me. It's a blast of pure fun that most modern games forget to deliver.

The absurd premise of rolling up everything into a giant ball actually works perfectly on the Xbox 360 controller, and the vibrant, quirky art style makes even the simplest level feel alive. It's been years since I've had this much pure, goofy fun with a game.

I was skeptical about a game that’s just rolling a sticky ball around collecting junk, but the absurdly satisfying way objects snap onto your katamari makes every minute a blast. The pick-up-and-play controls are spot-on—I got hooked within five minutes.
