Finally got my hands on this and the English voice acting during the cut scenes is a nice surprise for a PC Engine game. The learning curve is steep but landing a special move after all that practice feels incredibly rewarding.

The special moves are brutal to pull off at first, but once my fingers got the rhythm, the mecha fights felt incredibly satisfying. The English voice acting in the cutscenes is a nice touch that kept me invested in the story between battles.

The control scheme takes real practice to pull off the special moves, but the payoff in fluid combat during matches is incredibly satisfying. The English voice acting in the cut scenes adds a nice layer of immersion that you don't often see in PC Engine games.
