Dragon Quest VII

The job system gives you so many ways to build your party that I’ve already sunk over 20 hours and barely scratched the surface. That classic Dragon Quest charm—where the bad guys still look cute—makes every battle feel less grindy and more fun.

The 3DS version’s updated graphics make the charming monster designs pop even more than I remember from the original. I’ve already sunk 10 hours into the job system and love how each class feels distinct.

The kawaii art style really shines through on the PS1, even the grumpy bosses look almost cute. Spent a whole weekend just wandering the towns and talking to everyone, the charm is undeniable.
