Final Fantasy II (Cart Only)

Makes me actually feel like part of the rebellion with that ripped-away village opening. The way characters permanently die is brutal in a good way—gives every battle real weight.

The save system in this sequel is a huge upgrade over the first game—being able to pick up right where I left off makes the grind feel so much more rewarding. The cartridge works perfectly in my console and brings back that classic 8-bit atmosphere.

The cartridge arrived clean and booted up instantly—no corrosion on the pins, which is rare for a Famicom game this old. The story of rebuilding after your village burns hits hard even in Japanese, and the leveling system keeps you hooked for hours.
