Grandia II

The battle system from the Dreamcast version is fully intact, and the fast load times on PS2 make grinding through the tough parts much less tedious. I played it for hours straight without any hiccups.

This remastered version plays so smoothly on PS2, with none of the slowdown I remember from the original Saturn disc. The battle system is as addictive as ever, and the story still hits all the right beats.

I’d forgotten how sharp the writing is until this PS2 port reminded me—the combat system still feels fresh, and the Saturn-era charm survives the upgrade. Replaying it on easier difficulty let me soak in the story without grinding, which was a nice bonus.
