ガンフォース（カートリッジのみ）

The one-hit-kill mechanic adds real tension, and the mech power suit upgrades feel fantastic when you finally unlock them. It’s brutally tough but fair in a way that brings back that classic Contra challenge without feeling cheap.

The mode 7 scaling on those giant bosses is insane, it really pushes the console hard and makes every encounter feel massive. I’m a sucker for the mech suits too, they add a nice layer of strategy on top of the usual one-hit chaos.

That boss fight in the first level really pushes the mode 7 scaling to its absolute limit, and the mech power suit makes the one-hit kills feel a little more fair. It's tough, but the weapon upgrades are supremely satisfying to unlock.
