My mates and I had an absolute riot with this on the multitap—arguments over who gets Gary’s Grampus were half the fun. The four-player chaos is exactly what arcade football should be, and the fast-paced matches keep everyone on edge.

The arcadey pace is perfect for a quick session with friends, the four-player multitap mode really shines for chaotic fun. My only gripe is that the AI is a bit too easy to read in single-player, but it’s totally worth it for the laughs with a full crew.

We dug out the multitap for a four-player night and ended up arguing over who got to be Gary’s Grampus—that's how you know it's working. The controls are tight enough for a proper arcade feel, but the chaos between mates is what makes it.
