メタルマックス リターンズ

The tank combat is way more addictive than I expected, and controlling your vehicle to blast those mechanical foes feels just right on the Super Famicom. My only wish is that exploring the terrain by tank didn't require so much backtracking, but the catchy battle theme keeps me grinding.

Exploring the map on foot is a slog, but once you hop in a tank, the whole world opens up and combat stays punchy. The mechanical foes keep things interesting, and the battle system hooks you right back in. Definitely worth it for anyone who missed this era of RPGs.

The tank controls feel just right for scouting out new areas, and the turn-based fights keep that snappy rhythm even after hours of grinding. It's the kind of retro fun that makes you forget the clock entirely, and the mechanical boss designs are a real highlight.
