聖剣伝説 ヒーローズ オブ マナ (新)

I was skeptical about controlling monsters in real time, but the tactical missions are well-paced and the strategic depth is surprisingly satisfying for a DS title.

The real-time tactical combat keeps you on your toes, and managing a squad of monsters adds a fun layer of strategy that the series usually skips. It’s a solid pick for DS owners who want something a bit different from the standard turn-based fare.

I was pleasantly surprised by how deep the mission planning gets—you really have to think about where to deploy your monster units. The real-time element keeps every skirmish tense without feeling overwhelming.
