Capcom Generation 1

I was surprised how crisp the arcade conversions feel on the PS1—1942’s controls are spot-on. The three-in-one disc is a fantastic value for any shooter fan. Finally, a home version that does these classics justice.

Having 1943 and the Kai version on one disc is such a treat, the pixel art and explosions still hold up beautifully on the PS1. I spent a whole evening swapping between the two, and the loading times between games are barely noticeable.

Finally, a disc that does justice to the 1942 and 1943 arcade feel—the 1943 Kai mode on the same CD is a huge plus. The home conversions before this were always a letdown, but this one actually plays smooth.
