Volleyfire (카트만)

The manual is just a folded sheet, but the core mechanic—volleying that asteroid back and forth while dodging alien fire—is unexpectedly addictive for such a simple concept. Definitely a hidden gem for GameBoy collectors.

I love how the space duel mechanic keeps both players on edge—the asteroid crossing the middle actually forces you to time your shots instead of just spamming. The cart loaded instantly on my old GameBoy, no lag or glitches.

The scrolling asteroid obstacle that travels across the screen forces you to time your shots carefully, which makes each duel feel more tense than a typical shmup. I’ve been playing this on my lunch breaks for a week and the simple pick-up-and-play action keeps me coming back.
