The depth mechanic of walking into the screen to pop into shops caught me off guard at first, but it's such a neat twist for a Famicom cart. The visuals really do carry that Mother 2 charm, and the umbrella's jump boost makes the platforming feel fresh. I've already replayed it twice this week.

That umbrella jump extension really changes how you approach the platforms, and the screen-walking mechanic makes exploring the shops feel rewarding. It's a clever little game that nails the Earthbound aesthetic without feeling like a ripoff.

The 2D depth mechanic is such a neat touch—walking into the background to hit a shop mid-level keeps things fresh. The umbrella jump extension feels way more useful than I expected, and the whole vibe nails that quirky Mother 2 charm.
