General Chaos

The hand-to-hand combat is surprisingly chunky and satisfying, and the big sprites make every scrap feel way more personal than your typical run-and-gun. Spent a whole evening just on the first few levels, and the tongue-in-cheek tone kept me grinning even when I got cornered.

The chaotic energy of the battles reminds me of the old Cannon Fodder days, but with bigger sprites and more frantic action. I love how the close-quarters combat feels punchy and satisfying, and the humor keeps things from getting too serious. Definitely a hidden gem for the Mega Drive.

The control scheme took a minute to get used to, but once I did the chaos of calling in airstrikes and ordering squads around felt really satisfying. It’s got that classic run-and-gun action from Metal Slug but with way more soldiers on screen at once.
