Monster Farm Advance 2 (New)

The sprites are surprisingly detailed for a GBA game — my little fire monster’s idle animation is full of personality. Watching it take a beating in battle genuinely made me wince, but the training loop kept me hooked for hours.

Getting attached to your monster is inevitable when you see them stumble around the barn after a rough training session—the farm feels genuinely alive. I spent hours just watching the little sprite improve from one fight to the next.

The sprite animations for training and battling are charmingly detailed, and I’ve found myself genuinely rooting for my monster during tough fights. It’s oddly relaxing to manage the farm between matches, though watching my creature take a beating stings way more than it should.
