Shogi Toryumon (Nieuw)

I was pleasantly surprised by how the cute avatars break down each Shogi move—makes learning the game feel more like playing than studying. The tips pop up at just the right moments, which saved me from getting stuck early on. Definitely a fun way to pick up the basics for a beginner like me.

The character avatars are surprisingly charming and really do help explain the rules without feeling like a boring tutorial. I’ve already picked up a few new strategies I wouldn’t have figured out on my own.

I was hesitant about learning Shogi on a Wonderswan, but the avatar guides actually explain each piece’s movement in context as you play. The tips pop up just when I get stuck, making it surprisingly easy to pick up.
