SL De Ikou

I've been hunting for a train sim that slows things down, and this is it—the two rural routes feel completely different from the usual city lines, and the old steam locomotives chug along with real weight. The scenery is dense enough that I keep pausing just to watch the countryside roll by.

The clack of the steam pistons and the whistle are so well done that I actually found myself leaning into the turns. I’m a sucker for the classic locomotives and the two rural routes feel properly off the map, perfect for unwinding after work.

The steam engine controls feel surprisingly detailed, and that countryside route through the Japanese hills is just gorgeous to watch. Perfect for winding down after a long day.
