Category: Super Famicom

Truly jaw dropping in its hey day with the train and waterfall backdrops particularly memorable, this grandmaster can still pull off a few tricks on the Super Famicom like old Jubei Yamada. Full of that distinct SNK style much imitated, but never surpassed and another excellent Takara conversion.

Olivia ★★★★★

The train and waterfall stages still hold up beautifully, and the sprite animations are shockingly smooth for a cartridge this old. Jubei Yamada's moves feel just as sharp today as they did back in the day—pure nostalgia that actually plays great.

Thomas V. ★★★★☆

The waterfall and train backgrounds still look surprisingly good for a 16-bit fighter, and the cart itself is in solid shape with no save issues. Only wish the manual was included, but for the price it's a fair trade.

Julian ★★★★☆

The cart loaded instantly and the train background still looks sharp for a 30-year-old fighter. It's missing the manual and case, but the gameplay itself is solid enough to bring back that old arcade feeling.
