Improved visuals (including a stunning sea shrine update), conversation speed, combat system and new cut scenes along with an uplifting, orchestral music score. Huge bosses that seem to want to crawl out the screen. Playable as fighter, thief, ninja or three mages. So much loving from Square. Highly collectable.

The sea shrine update is absolutely gorgeous, and the new combat system makes battles flow much smoother. Those huge bosses feel genuinely intimidating as they fill the screen.

The orchestral score was the first thing that hit me—it’s genuinely uplifting and makes every battle feel more epic. Combat also flows way smoother now, and the new cut scenes add a layer of story I didn’t expect from a handheld port. Those huge bosses really do seem ready to crawl off the screen, w

The sea shrine area looks incredible on the WonderSwan, and the new cut scenes add so much depth to the story. Combat feels much smoother now, and I love how the huge bosses actually seem to fill the screen.
