Daley Thompson has a lot to answer for as the official Olympic license gives this modern day incarnation a bit more of a refined approach to the varying disciples next to its more down to earth, retro podium runner.

Penelope N. ★★★★★

I picked this up for the javelin and long jump events, and the analog stick controls feel surprisingly precise for an older PS2 title. The refined approach to each discipline keeps the game challenging without getting frustrating.

Matthew T. ★★★★★

The decathlon mode really tests your endurance across every event, and the javelin throw controls are way more precise than I expected. A solid pick for anyone nostalgic for classic sports games on the PS2.

Hazel ★★★★★

The track and field events feel surprisingly smooth compared to older PS2 sports games, and the official Olympic license adds a nice layer of authenticity to the presentation. I’ve spent hours on the decathlon alone, and the refined controls make each discipline more engaging than I expected.
