A real triple A title that brings to mind the delights of Goemons romps with a feudal Japan setting. The graphical look is innovative and feels like an animated New Years greetings card with such delightful execution. Played as the young wolf setting out on an epic adventure which we would hate to ruin. A real treat for lone wolfs from start to finish and worthy of higher accolades.

Claire C. ★★★★★

The ink-brush art style actually feels like a living painting, especially during the daytime scenes—it’s the prettiest PS2 game I’ve played in years. The combat is surprisingly deep once you master the brush techniques, and the whole thing has that charming, playful energy Goemon fans will recognize

The feudal Japan setting combined with the unique visual style makes every cutscene feel like a living watercolor painting. The gameplay flows smoothly and has that same adventurous spirit as other classic PS2 titles from that era. I've been playing for hours and still find new details in the backgr

I was blown away by how the animated New Year's card art style makes every scene pop—it's genuinely like playing a moving painting. Combat flows smoothly and the feudal Japan atmosphere is incredibly immersive, making this a hidden gem for PS2 fans.
