Rockman gets suited and booted to look more like a star of Battle of the Planets. His extra abilities allow for some real speed clocking in at a few Machs as he zooms through the platforms and flies across the rest of the level. Emotive use of cut scenes help encourage players to endeavour. Top drawer platform action.

Elizabeth K. ★★★★★

The extra Mach-speed ability actually changes how you approach each platform, and the suit detail is a nice nod to the old show. Took a minute to get used to the boost timing, but once I did, it felt smooth.

Edward ★★★★★

I wasn't sure about the new design at first, but the extra speed abilities actually make the platforming sections way more fun—flying through those stages at Mach speeds feels incredible. The Battle of the Planets-inspired look grew on me fast, too.

Sebastian ★★★★★

The speed boost in Rockman x5 makes him feel genuinely supersonic, tearing through stages way faster than I expected. The Battle of the Planets-inspired design is a slick upgrade that actually changes how you play.
