Category: PS2

With similarities in gameplay to the Final Fantasy tactics series, Sangokushi embarks on a sweeping crusade to build up the biggest army in ancient China through conquering all others. Some epic battles all very nicely realised and true to the period costumes and weaponry, even if the specials touch more on fantasy. Playing like a game of military chess but alot more exciting than that may sound. Known as Dynasty Tactics in the West.

Julian ★★★★★

If you love tactical RPGs like Final Fantasy Tactics, the army-building and conquest mechanics here are incredibly deep and rewarding. The strategic map battles feel massive as you unite ancient China, and I've already lost dozens of hours to it.

David P. ★★★★★

The job system in this game is surprisingly deep, letting you customize each unit way more than I expected from a PS2 tactics title. Those massive battles really capture the chaos of ancient warfare, and I’ve already spent hours just tweaking my formations.

Emily H. ★★★★★

The army-building grind is real but so rewarding—I spent hours recruiting and leveling up units before each sweep across ancient China. If you're into tactical RPGs like Final Fantasy Tactics, this scratches that itch perfectly. Definitely worth the time.
