This version has more going for it that didn’t make the cut for the English language release. Jammed full of Chinese cultural references, or at least Chinese culture from a Japanese perspective, it can be pretty zany at times.

Ava H. ★★★★★

Bought this to compare with the English version, and the extra cultural references are a real treat—the Japanese take on Chinese mythology adds a layer of humor I wasn't expecting. The cart itself works perfectly in my Famicom.

Thomas M. ★★★★★

The sheer amount of content that didn't make it to the English version is staggering, especially the Chinese folk tales woven into the levels. I've spent hours on the calligraphy minigame alone, it's surprisingly addictive.

Carter ★★★★☆

I was surprised by how many minigames and references were packed into this Famicom cart compared to the English version. The Japanese approach to Chinese culture is quirky, but the extra content definitely makes it more fun to explore. Only wish the manual explained a few more of the cultural jokes.
