Derby Stallion

Breeding my first Derby winner took real patience, but watching that two-year-old foal I trained from the start cross the finish line in the championship race was incredibly satisfying. The graphics for the horses and tracks are surprisingly detailed for a PlayStation game.

I’ve sunk way too many hours into raising my first foal, and watching her grow from a nervous yearling to a cup champion was genuinely thrilling. The graphics hold up nicely for a PS1 game, and the whole cycle of breeding, racing, and retirement kept me hooked.

The breeding mechanics are surprisingly deep, and I love how you can track your horse's lineage over multiple generations. Seeing my first foal grow from a clumsy youngster to a cup winner felt genuinely rewarding.
