Heisei Dog Story (Novo)

The block-breaking twist on tennis is way more addictive than I expected. My dog keeps perking up whenever the little malley-wielding pup appears on screen, which is hilarious. Definitely a quirky hidden gem for the Super Famicom.

I was skeptical about a tennis game where you smash blocks instead of rallying, but the mallet-wielding dog player won me over immediately. The Break-Out style destruction on your side of the court adds a puzzle layer that makes each match feel fresh.

The mix of tennis and Break-Out is such a clever twist, and the hero dog swinging a mallet instead of a racket had me grinning from the first match. I’ve already sunk a few hours into clearing the blocks on my side of the court, and the variety of players keeps it fresh.
