Assault Suits Valken 2

I'm really enjoying the shift to turn-based strategy — planning each move around the overheating gauge feels much more tactical than just blasting away. The soldier management adds a nice layer of depth I wasn't expecting from this series.

The turn-based combat is a huge upgrade from the old run-and-gun style, and it scratches that Front Mission itch perfectly. I'm a few missions in and the squad positioning really matters, though I do wish the pacing between battles was a bit snappier.

The overheating mechanic adds real tension to battles, forcing you to balance aggression with caution. This is exactly the tactical depth the series needed. It took me a few missions to get comfortable, but now I'm hooked.
