I've been playing through the campaign and the turn-based battles really make you think several steps ahead, which is rare for a strategy game from this era. The waiting mechs attacking each other one by one adds a tense rhythm that keeps me coming back.

Took me a few tries to get the hang of the turn order system, but once it clicks, the strategic depth is incredibly rewarding. The box art is gorgeous, and the mecha designs are a treat to watch during combat.

The battle animations are surprisingly detailed for a Super Famicom game, really selling the weight of each mech as they take their turns. I’ve lost hours just watching the tactical decisions play out.
