Pikmin 2

The way you manage your little squad of Pikmin to carry treasure back to the ship is so satisfying, especially the challenge of getting everything done before nightfall. I’m surprised how much strategy is packed into such a simple-looking game.

I've been playing through the campaign and love how the Pikmin multitask without me micromanaging them. The way they carry treasures back to the ship is oddly satisfying.

The Pikmin AI is surprisingly smart about pathfinding around obstacles, which saves me tons of micro-management time. I've already lost a few nights to just "one more day" cycles.
