Project Altered Beast (新品)

Plays just like the classic I remember, with smooth controls and that same creepy atmosphere. The sprite-based graphics are nicely sharpened for modern screens, and it keeps the original’s platforming challenge without feeling unfair.

I was worried this remake would lose the magic of the old giant sprite action, but the beat-'em-up pacing feels just as aggressive and satisfying today. The way the minotaur form powers up mid-level is a great callback that still lands hard.

The Minotaur form is a blast to smash through crowds with, and the way the camera keeps up during the chaos honestly surprised me. It's a solid remake that nails the old-school feel without feeling dated.
