The warring-period banter between characters is genuinely entertaining, and unlocking new prefectures gives the game a nice sense of progression. Runs smoothly on my PC Engine too.

Got this for the historical flavor as much as the gameplay, and the prefecture conquest mechanic really adds a strategic layer I didn't expect. The period-accurate speech style makes every match feel like a samurai showdown. Definitely a unique twist on classic mahjong.

The banter between warlords during matches really sold the Sengoku setting for me, it makes each round feel like a real historical clash. I've been playing through the prefectures and the victory conditions keep things fresh.
