I was skeptical about a Mega CD RPG from a cancelled PC Engine port, but the isometric exploration and magic combat are surprisingly polished. The story has a nice whimsical feel that fits the handheld aesthetic well. A solid hidden gem for the library.

Finally, a chance to play this lost port. The overhead exploration feels just like the PC Engine original, and the magic system is surprisingly deep for a Mega CD title. If you’re into obscure RPGs, this is a gem.

I'd been hunting for this lost PC Engine gem for ages, so seeing it finally on Mega CD feels like a small miracle. The three-quarters overhead view makes exploring towns and dungeons genuinely immersive, and the magic system keeps battles from feeling repetitive.
