The barcode reader integration is way more fun than I expected, actually making me dig through my collection to find cards with the best power-ups. Combat system has that classic strategic depth you'd want from a battle sim, and the novelty alone keeps me coming back for more.

Box arrived sealed and in pristine condition, and the manual makes the barcode adaptor hookup surprisingly simple to figure out. The battle sim itself is properly deep once you start feeding in power points from the codes, so it's a solid niche pickup for collectors.

I was worried the barcode reader setup would be a hassle, but the adaptor actually works smoothly and adds a cool strategic twist to the battles. The combat sim has plenty of depth, though you need the peripheral to fully enjoy the power-up system.
