The cut scenes before battles add so much tension, and the soundtrack is absolutely triumphant. Positioning troops feels genuinely strategic, and the striking artwork makes it stand out from other Super Famicom carts. Snagged it as a cart-only, and it’s pure gold.

The tactical positioning system really shines—I spent fifteen minutes deciding which unit to place on high ground before a siege. The soundtrack builds perfectly with those lavish cutscenes, making each victory feel earned.

The cutscene art before each battle genuinely surprised me—it’s up there with the best of the genre and makes every engagement feel weighty. I lost an entire afternoon just repositioning troops to hear that triumphant soundtrack kick in during the tougher fights.
