The CD audio really brings the chaotic tone of the anime to life, and the animated cutscenes are a great bonus. Cherry the priest predicting doom for Ataru is perfectly captured here. Plays smoothly on my duo.

Playing through the PC Engine CD version, I’m amazed by how chaotic Cherry’s predictions drive the story forward. The dialogue is snappy and the sprite work captures the anime’s zany energy perfectly. It’s a must for fans of the series.

The voice acting and cutscene pacing capture Cherry’s doom-saying perfectly, and the CD-ROM quality makes the dialogue crisp without any hiss. I’ve played through the school chaos scenes twice already and still grin at Lum’s antics.
