Dekahel and Delsol are Japanese Neo Geo Pocket Colour add-ons that rarely show up in English guides. Here is what each one is and who should buy a sealed copy.
Quick answer
Dekahel and Delsol are Japanese Neo Geo Pocket Colour accessories, not games. Buy them if you collect complete Japanese Neo Geo Pocket gear or want period-correct add-ons for a Colour console; skip them if you only play cartridge software.
Why these add-ons are hard to place
Most English-language Neo Geo Pocket coverage focuses on the console and its game library, so Japanese pack-in and peripheral items like Dekahel and Delsol often go undocumented. The catalog listings confirm both are new and made for the Neo Geo Pocket Colour, but they do not spell out the exact function of each item. Treat that gap as a collecting limitation rather than a reason to guess: if you need a specific capability, ask before buying.
The Colour-only detail matters
Both listings specify Neo Geo Pocket Colour, so they are not listed as compatible with the original monochrome Neo Geo Pocket. If your handheld is the first-generation model, check compatibility before ordering. This is also a useful reminder that Japanese Neo Geo Pocket gear was often revised alongside the Colour hardware.
Dekahel and Delsol questions answered
- Are Dekahel and Delsol games?
- No. They are accessories for the Neo Geo Pocket Colour, so do not expect a cartridge or a playable title. Check your shelf for hardware add-ons, not software.
- Which console do they fit?
- The supplied listings name the Neo Geo Pocket Colour only. If you own the original monochrome Neo Geo Pocket, confirm fit before ordering rather than assuming backward compatibility. Match the add-on to the Colour model first.
- Should I buy new or loose?
- Both records here are new. New copies protect you from missing pieces and worn contacts, which matters more with small Japanese peripherals that are hard to replace.
- Are they worth it for a player?
- Only if you specifically want Japanese Neo Geo Pocket add-ons in your setup. If you just want to play games, put the money toward cartridges instead.
The two add-ons at a glance
- Dekahel (New): Brand new, listed for the Neo Geo Pocket Colour. A sealed copy suits collectors who want an untouched Japanese add-on rather than a loose, used example.
Dekahel (New) - Delsol (New): Brand new, listed for the Neo Geo Pocket Colour. The lower catalog price makes it the easier entry point if you are curious about Japanese Neo Geo Pocket add-ons.
